LA Dodgers invite drag troupe that mocks Christians to "Pride" event
The group’s motto is “Go forth and sin some more.”
The Los Angeles Dodgers have re-invited a group of anti-Christian drag performers and activists to be honored at a “Pride” themed event later this month, having initially canceled the arrangements after backlash from Catholic groups.
The “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” (SPI), as the group is known, is a well-established LGBT activist and outreach group whose members are known for dressing as garish drag “nuns,” preaching a message of acceptance for alternative sexual lifestyles that the majority of established Christian churches morally oppose.
They hold annual Easter events mocking the crucifixion of Christ in base, sexualized way, and are generally oriented around embracing homosexuality in the manner that the Christian church would embrace Christ.
For example, as The Christian Post noted, the SPI’s motto is “Go forth and sin some more,” a play on Jesus’ healing words of mercy to the woman caught in adultery whose sins He forgave to “Go forth and sin no more.”
Last month, the Dodgers announced plans to award the Los Angeles SPI with its Community Hero Award “for their countless hours of community service, ministry, and outreach to those on the edges, in addition to promoting human rights and respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment,” as team management explained in a statement at the time.
The move was met with outrage from the Catholic and broader Christian community, prompting the team to briefly remove the “Sisters” from its list of honorees. However, this was returned with backlash from the LGBT community.
The Dodgers, accused of “buckling to pressure from out-of-state, right-wing fundamentalists” and “white supremacy” by the LA LGBT Center, repented, inviting the SIP to once again attend the game against the San Francisco Giants on June 16.
The drama has been similar to that surrounding retail giant Target’s decision to sell “tuck friendly” “PRIDE” themed bathing suits seemingly targeted at children (although Target has denied this was the intent). The company is facing massive losses from boycotts as the LGBT community applies pressure to stand by the controversial marketing move.

Two elderly pro-life activists were targeted in a bloody attack outside a Baltimore Planned Parenthood last week, landing one man in the hospital with severe injuries.
The men were 73 and 80, respectably, according to WBFF.
According to police, the two men were attacked by an unidentified assailant after engaging with one of them in a “debate” over abortion.
Surveillance footage reportedly showed the man turning away from the pro-lifers, only to turn back around and tackle the older gentleman, sending him crashing into a flower pot.
When the second elderly man rushed over to his cohort’s aid, the assailant shoved him to the ground, brutally beating him in the face, then stood up and kicked him in the face “with extreme force,” according to reports.
Police are still searching for a suspect.
The severely injured man was identified by Baltimore County Right to Life President Jay Walton as Mark Crosby.
“Mark [Crosby] is currently in the hospital being treated for the serious injuries he sustained,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “Please pray that Mark makes a full recovery and that the thug that did this to him is found and dealt with swiftly.”
Walton also linked to a GoFundMe account for the elderly activist, who has ministered outside the Planned Parenthood for years.
“For years, Mark has prayed in front of the Planned Parenthood in Baltimore City to let the scared, young abortion-minded women know that they are loved, that their baby is loved,” the fundraiser states. “Please donate to show Mark how much HE is loved.”

A video of a male Disneyland employee sporting a princess dress and welcoming children to a shop is making the rounds on Twitter, causing outrage.
In the footage, a male employee in a moustache waves at children entering the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland.
He introduces himself as “Nick” and tells children, “I’m here to shop you around and make all your selections for the day.”
The video then pans over princess dresses on display in the shop, as text over the screen says “$250” to “$450.”
The video was originally posted to TikTok by a mother of three who captioned it, “A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you’re fast asleep #disneyland #bibbidibobbidiboutique #corememory.”
Some commenters said that “Nick” has worked in the shop for awhile and that they “love” him.
However, when shared on Twitter, many expressed outraged at the prospect of a male employee wearing a princess dress and interacting with children.
“Absolutely grooming. That is a moment for little girls. Mustache has no business there,” wrote one outraged user.
“Disney is just an LGBT activist organization at this point,” wrote another. “Any sane company would have backed down by now. Disney keeps doubling down because it would rather engage in political activism than return value.”
The Daily Wire notes that Disney has allowed “cast members,” as Disney park employees are called, to wear gendered clothing of their choice, regardless of sex, since 2021.
Last year, Disney was also caught up in the debate over a Florida bill restricting some sexual education in public school classrooms, vowing to work to overturn the Parental Rights in Education Act and committing to producing more LGBT characters and content in children’s programming.
