Ew! "Family-friendly" pride event has disgusting displays
You won't believe the vulgar merchandise and performances!
A “family-friendly” LGBT “pride” festival in Texas captured attention from concerned citizens recently for selling X-rated products and featuring performers and protesters chanting vulgar and offensive phrases.
Todd Starnes posted recently that the “Texas Latinx Pride” celebration was held at the Reverchon Recreation Center earlier this month and videos and photos circulating on X (formerly Twitter) show the extent of the raunchy atmosphere.
Mind you, this event was reportedly meant to be “family friendly.”
What undercover investigators and posts to social media found would “make the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah blush,” as Starnes wrote.
“Drag queen belts out ‘suck my d***’ before twerking in lingerie at a ‘family friendly’ Latinx Pride event that took place in Dallas this past Saturday,” the Republic Observer reported, while Starnes noted the presence of genital-shaped waffles.
Photos posted to X by the outlet showed men walking around in Speedo-style shorts and large posters of models wearing next-to-nothing in highly suggestive poses.
There were also LGBT activists shouting “Jesus was a drag queen” as well as BDSM gear and other sexualized merchandise on display.
Sara Gonzalez of The Blaze reported on X that “From condom giveaways, to explicit candles being on display and within reach of children, this festival was NOT all ages friendly.”

A parental advocacy group has launched a petition to hold Viacom accountable for broadcasting a sexually explicit awards show on a children’s network during primetime.
One Million Moms has issued the petition to Viacom, which broadcast the notoriously unhinged MTV Music Awards on Nickelodeon at an hour when children are typically still awake.
The Christian Post reported that the awards show featured scantily clad performers and highly suggestive, sexualized choreography which included ‘hip thrusting, air humping and twerking.”
Perhaps most notorious of all was a performance from rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion of their collaboration “Bongos,” which features blatantly explicit lyrics directly referring to sex acts.
“I am appalled that Viacom would air mature content such as the VMAs on Nickelodeon, its children’s network. The VMAs is an awards show that includes graphic content, and it should never be permitted on a children’s network. I urge Viacom to never allow this to happen again,” the petition from One Million Moms reads.
It calls upon Viacom to “never allow this to happen again.”
The Post notes that some speculated that Viacom was grooming young, impressionable Nickelodeon viewers to watch MTV.

A German family who fled their native land to be able to homeschool their children is now facing deportation after 15 years in Tennessee.
Fox News reports that the Romeike family is mystified as to why they could be sent back to their home country where home education is illegal.
"They did not tell us anything. We don't really know why [this is happening]. We wonder ourselves because we can't understand," Uwe Romeike told Fox News over the weekend.
The family originally fled to the US after facing steep fines for educating their children at home, although they faced an uphill battle obtaining asylum status.
"The goal in Germany is for an open, pluralistic society," the Department of Justice wrote at the time. "Teaching tolerance to children of all backgrounds helps to develop the ability to interact as a fully functioning citizen in Germany."
An attorney representing the family says that an immigration judge that initially approved their asylum status agreed that they faced persecution in their home country.
"They found that the Romeike family did have a well-founded fear of persecution based on their participation in a particular social category, that being homeschoolers," attorney Kevin Boden told Fox.
"The Obama administration appealed that to the Board of Immigration Appeals. That appeal court agreed with them, as did the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court denied it…. We think this is, in fact, an asylum case. We do think they have a well-founded fear as we testified…” he explained.
"I can tell you today, I talked to families today that have fear in Germany and the fight there, the persecution there, is very real today as it was 15 years ago," Boden said.
Fox reached out to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, but did not receive a reply before the segment on the family’s predicament aired.
