Trump admin affirms: no "human right" to abortion
The new administration has taken huge steps to defend the unborn...here's what we'd like to see him do next (and how you can get involved)

President Donald Trump has not even been in office for two weeks, and he’s already done so much, we’re having trouble keeping up!
Thankfully, while Trump did not run on a fully anti-abortion platform by a longshot, several of his key actions have nonetheless surrounded key promises to support the pro-life movement.
Last week, we shared that the president pardoned 23 pro-life activists who were unfairly targeted by the Biden administration, which was certainly an incredibly significant political victory for the pro-life movement.
President Trump also banned funding for abortion overseas and vowed to enforce the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funding for abortion.
This week, the president added the United States back to a global declaration that affirms there is no human right to abortion, as LifeNews reported.
In 2020, 37 nations including the United States signed the Geneva Consensus Declaration, but President Joe Biden removed our name from the document.
This week, newly confirmed Secretary of State Marco Rubio released a statement affirming that the United States would be re-joining the declaration.
“The Trump Administration is committed to supporting families, promoting women’s health, and protecting children at all stages of life,” Rubio said. “The United States will pursue these objectives in cooperation with member states in the UN system and through our continued shared ambition for improved health for women and girls.”
President Trump also blocked funding for the World Health Organization this week after withdrawing the United States from the pro-abortion entity last week.
LifeNews notes that the WHO spends roughly 11% of its funding on various measures to assist with the murder of the unborn.
He’s off to a great start!
However, LifeNews also noted in a separate article further steps that Trump could take to undermine the abortion industry in the United States.
These include reforming the Title X grant program to prevent backdoor federal funding for abortion, protecting pro-life Americans from discrimination, and providing federal funding for pro-life pregnancy centers.
Just as the Biden administration used the federal government to try to help people gain access to abortion in states where it had been lawfully restricted or banned, the Trump administration should throw the weight of the federal government behind supporting women and children.
“Instead of establishing task forces and websites to promote abortion access as the Biden administration did, President Trump should replace these initiatives with programs that provide meaningful support to women and ensure they are widely publicized through robust public awareness campaigns,” Scott Baker writes in an op-ed for LifeNews.
“Critical areas are transportation assistance, affordable childcare, and housing support—practical solutions for pregnant women. Expanding the role of pregnancy centers and maternity homes and equipping them with the resources to effectively serve women in their communities must also be a central focus. These actions would demonstrate a commitment to empowering women with real, life-affirming options.”
It should be noted that nothing short of fully ending legal abortion in every way would truly be moral, but we are happy to see progress being made towards this end either way.
And remember, friends, the government of the United States is by the people and for the people — we are the people and we do not need to wait on the federal government to provide support for women in crisis pregnancies.

This is incredible considering how quickly these things are happening and how the intent of our original laws and funding lines up with life, as it should. Praise the Lord and for the courage of Godly and good men and women. Keep praying!
