Soros-Owned Fund Poised to Take Control of Second-Largest Radio Station in U.S.
The notorious progressive mega-donor will have a stake in over 220 stations across the nation right at the dawn of the critical 2024 presidential election season

George Soros is reportedly set to take control of a large portion of shares in the nation’s second-largest chain of radio stations right at the offset of an incredibly critical election season in which information warfare will surely be the most significant arena.
Go figure.
According to court filings and sources that spoke with the New York Post, the Democrat mega-donor’s Soros Fund Management bought up $400 million in debt owed by Audacy, which owns some of the nation’s most significant radio stations such as New York’s WFAN and Los Angeles’ KROQ.
This amounts to about 40% of the company’s senior debt, positioning Soros to effectively take control of the company as it recovers from bankruptcy.
“This is scary,” said the Post’s source, a Republican who suspects that Soros will use this influence to impact the outcome of the 2024 election.
The proposal to restructure Audacy awaits approval from a bankruptcy court.
The Post notes that this is not the first effort on Soros’ part to swoop in on a failing media outfit. Last summer, a Soros fund also joined efforts to recover once-alternative Vice Media from bankruptcy in a similar financial play.
The notoriously progressive businessman, political donor, and philanthropist has long been known for his powerful role in the American political landscape and his vast apparatus of influence through his various organizations and supposedly charitable endeavors.
