Ohio Law Proposes Teachers, Librarians Be Jailed for Passing Out “Obscene Materials” to Kids
If passed, the law would deem it a felony offense for anyone with a teaching license to “create, reproduce, or publish any obscene material" where it could be seen by children
A proposed law in the Ohio state House would subject anyone with a teaching license to jail time and hefty fines for distributing obscene material to children.
This comes at a time when the battle over obscene material in the classroom, smuggled in under the guise of LGBT “pride,” has become a heated national issue.
If H.B. 556 passes, it would establish it as a Class 5 felony for anyone with an Ohio teaching license to "create, reproduce, or publish any obscene material" where children could see it.
Under Ohio state law, Class 5 felony convictions can receive between 6 and 12 monts in prison and up to $2,500 in fines.
"The purpose of House Bill 556 is to ensure the standard obscenity rules that operate in day-to-day life, from Barnes & Noble to our television sets, are upheld in our K-12 educational spaces. We want to protect the trust and relationship between parents, teachers, and students during the school day,” the bill’s sponsor, state Rep. Adam Matthews (R-Lebanon) told WLWT.
The news outlet laments that this comes as 17 additional states consider legislation to limit obscene materials in schools. As we have been documenting through our blog for years, these include titles such as the graphic novel “Genderqueer” which depicts sexual acts, including pedophilia.
To apparently subtly suggest the injustice of it all, WLWT quotes the wldly left-wing president of one of the nation’s largest teachers’ union, the NEA, who wrote in an op-ed last year that the bans are not only anti-“LGBTQ+,” but racist.
“We know the intended target of these bans. According to PEN America, 30% of banned titles feature LGBTQ+ characters or themes, while 30% feature BIPOC characters or contain themes related to race. Further, the top four most-challenged books in 2022 were all written by diverse authors and featured diverse protagonists. Make no mistake, this is a concerted effort to erase diverse books from public schools and suppress marginalized voices."
It is a very lowdown, dirty trick to suggest that the diverse array of Americans who simply don’t think schools should have books that illustrate pornographic acts are “racist.” Many are socially liberal themselves, but believe sex is a topic for adults. Not children.
Keep your eyes open — they’ll use every trick in the book to prop up their agenda to corrupt our children and destroy our country’s moral integrity. An informed, intelligent populace who fears God will always be stronger if we stay alert!
Our teachers passed around Playboy and Penthouse magazines in class at Elk Grove High School a suburb of Chicago in 1969 - over 50 years ago, sewing the seeds of the fruit we see today in schools. There’s even more. They brought in homosexuals and lesbians for a presentation on their lifestyle.
Why is this even a question that this should ALWAYS be illegal to show p*** to children?
