Is Biden trying to ban Christians from being foster parents?
PLUS: An abortion clinic run by The Satanic Temple and a sick abortion "ritual" it encourages women to perform
Republican lawmakers recently raised concerns about a Biden administration policy change that would effectively bar Christians from becoming foster parents if they did not affirm a child’s professed LGBT identity.
“The premise of this proposal is that any foster care provider who does not ‘affirm’ a child’s sexual orientation or gender that differs from his or her biological sex is perpetuating and committing child abuse and will be shunned for failing to support the foster child’s ‘health and Wellbeing,’” Kansas Senator Roger Marshall (R) wrote to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra earlier this month.
According to LifeNews, the rule was proposed by the United States Administration for Children and Families (ACF), a division of HHS, in September of 2023.
“If enacted, this proposal would place further strain on the child welfare system and undermine the ability of states to provide safe, stable, and loving homes to our most vulnerable children,” the open letter, signed by five of Marshall’s fellow Republican senators, continued, further highlight concerns that the change would “force states to adopt extreme gender ideology in their placement decisions.”
The lawmakers also pointed out that Congress has previously given the states authority to determine such decisions, accusing HHS of having “usurped that authority to impose its own woke ideology in place of states’ judgments.”
Marshall’s letter also notes the significant threat to religious freedom post against potential foster parents who morally oppose LGBT ideology.
“The Department’s proposal would put religious families and religious providers in the position of declaring themselves unfit placements for a subset of the foster care pool, in spite of their long track records of excellence in serving and loving all children who need help,” the letter states.

Although we here at Elizabeth Johnston Ministries are not in the habit of reading Cosmopolitan, the pro-life news and commentary outlet LifeNews recently drew attention to a shocking feature that graced the pages of this widely read women’s magazine.
In “The Satanic Abortion Clinic That’s Pissed Off Pretty Much Everyone...and Might Beat the Bans Anyway,” the magazine — best known for its graphic sexual content — highlighted the Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic Abortion Clinic, a “telehealth” abortion clinic operated in New Mexico by The Satanic Temple.
It is, needless to say, named after the mother of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. Alito penned the decision
As Cosmo explains, The Satanic Temple wanted to “channel” the “policy fantasy” that instead of happily welcoming her future Supreme Court Justice Son as she did when he was born to her in 1950, Mrs. Alito had “been endangered by the pregnancy or if the fetus had a fatal anomaly” or “simply hadn’t been ready for a child.”
The clinic offers abortion advice over the phone and provides drugs for chemical abortion up through eleven weeks into pregnancy.
The Satanic Temple, a group which denies belief in the supernatural and exists virtually to leverage religious freedom laws against traditional Christian values. Part of these efforts in recent years has included claims that abortion is a matter of religious freedom as it is part of a sacred Satanic Temple ritual.
The ritual is described in the Cosmo article in full, which includes recitations for each stage of going through the death induced by a chemical abortion, including when the deceased unborn child is expelled from its mother’s body. It concludes with the words, “By my body, my blood; by my will, it is done.”
While TST claims to adhere to “science” and “reason,” its belief system is a carefully calculated inversion of Biblical doctrine. Rather than “Thy will be done, Lord,” it is “my will be done,” which is precisely where we are at morally as a society and exactly how the enemy convinces man to operate to his own fatal end.
As LifeNews’ Michael Cook explains, this article leaves little doubt as to the facts of the abortion agenda. Cosmo is not hiding it, The Satanic Temple isn’t hiding it.
“Abortion is literally Satanic,” he concludes.

Pro-abortion activists who were arrested in the midst of a violent brawl in which pro-life activists were injured have been given community service and no criminal record.
Live Action Network reported that 22-year-old Natalie Hoskins III and 30-year-old Anthony Marvin were arrested last March after taking part in a violent mob that attacked pro-life students and activists who had gathered for a Students for Life event at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
A group of antifa-style protesters deliberately disrupted the event, assaulting attendants with signs, chanting vulgar phrases, and intentionally creating enough noise and chaos to shut the event down.
Ultimately, Students for Life said at the time, police detained the pro-life activists behind closed doors while the pro-abortion activists were allowed to disperse peacefully.
Of the two arrests made, Hoskins and Marvin were charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, respectively, and each faced up to a year in prison and a fine. Neither were students at VCU when they came to protest.
Hoskins has reportedly completed 20 hours of community service and had charges against her dropped, while Marvin has completed 50 and met “other conditions.”
“Unfortunately, disruption at Students for Life of America events is all too commonplace,” Students for Life told Live Action. “Our team members and student groups often face severe hostility and intimidation from pro-abortion students on campus, and many school administrations either choose to ignore it or pile on themselves with censorship, unreasonable fees, and an intentional lack of peacekeeping.”
