A Democrat Senate staffer is out of a job after it was discovered he had filmed himself engaged in gay sex in a U.S. Senate hearing room.
The Daily Caller broke the story last week when it obtained the video of a then-unidentified staffer engaged in anal sex with another man on a desk in a Senate hearing room where lawmakers often sit to conduct hearings.
The video surfaced after being shared in a private online group for gay men who work in politics.
The Senate staffer was identified as Aidan Maese-Czeropski and has since been fired from his post in the office of Maryland Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin.
Cardin’s office has released a curt two-sentence statement in regard to the scandal, as The Blaze reported: "Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate. We will have no further comment on this personnel matter."
The Blaze also pointed to the shocking spin legacy media outlet NBC News placed on the story with the jaw-dropping headline, “Senate staffer alleged by conservative outlets to have had sex in a hearing room is no longer employed."
Maese-Czeropski himself responded by claiming the story was a political attack.
"This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda," Maese-Czeropski wrote on his LinkedIn page before he was fired. "While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace."

Pope Francis has allowed Catholic priests to bless same-sex couples, which was previously disallowed due to the church’s affirmation that marriage is between a man and a woman.
While the move is being hailed by LGBT rights activists, The New York Times noted that the Vatican has made clear that “a blessing of a same-sex couple was not the same as a marriage sacrament, a formal ceremonial rite.”
“It also stressed that it was not blessing the relationship, and that, to avoid confusion, blessings should not be imparted during or connected to the ceremony of a civil or same-sex union, or when there are ‘any clothing, gestures or words that are proper to a wedding,’” the Times reported.
Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, head of the Holy See’s office on doctrine, also clarified that the new rule does not amend “the traditional doctrine of the church about marriage.”
He acknowledged that it marks “a real development” and an “innovative contribution to the pastoral meaning of blessings” that was “based on the pastoral vision of Pope Francis.”
“The request for a blessing,” Pope Francis’ declaration states, “expresses and nurtures openness to the transcendence, mercy and closeness to God in a thousand concrete circumstances of life, which is no small thing in the world in which we live. It is a seed of the Holy Spirit that must be nurtured, not hindered.”
Rev. James Martin, a Jesuit priest and vocal proponent of making the Catholic Church more welcoming to the LGBT community, hailed the move.
“This new declaration opens the door to nonliturgical blessings for same-sex couples, something that had been previously off-limits for bishops, priests and deacons,” Martin, who has met frequently with Francis to discuss LGBT issues. “Along with many priests, I will now be delighted to bless my friends in same-sex unions.”

Since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year, pro-life pregnancy centers have been able to help one million more women than in previous years as states across the nation have banned abortion.
This is wonderful news, as it means that that many more women are choosing life for their babies and receiving loving support and care through their pregnancies and the little years.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) recently released the findings of a survey conducted among 2,750 pregnancy centers which found that these life-saving organizations served nearly one million more woman than they had helped in years prior to the landmark Supreme Court decision.
LifeNews also notes that preliminary CDC data indicates that as many as 32,000 more babies have been born annually since nearly half of all U.S. states have banned or seriously restricted abortion.
CLI, the research arm of SBA Pro-Life America, used data from Care Net, Heartbeat International, and National Institute of Family and Life Advocates. Prepared by CLI Associate Scholar Moira Gaul and CLI Senior Associate Scholar Michael J. New to compile the report, Hope for a New Generation.
Some of its key findings, as reported by LifeNews, included:
In 2022, pregnancy centers met with clients over 16 million times, both in person and virtually, with an estimated total service value of at least $358 million annually.
Pregnancy centers provided services to almost 975,000 new clients.
Vital services provided at no cost: pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education programs, baby diapers, wipes, formula, outfits and more.
“In the Dobbs era, the demands upon pregnancy help centers have increased daily. Many states are responding with new funds and new policies to support the centers’ work,” CLI President Chuck Donovan said.
