Former “Planned Parenthood” head dies at 67
ICYMI: News of Cecile Richards’ death came the same day that Trump was

This has been an eventful and downright historic week in the United States, as President Donald Trump was sworn in and got right to work on his clearly defined agenda to “Make America Great Again,” again.
Interestingly enough, however, the former head of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, also passed away on the same day.
Richards, who headed the nation’s largest abortion mill during a time when reliable accusations of selling aborted baby body parts came to light, lost her battle to brain cancer on Monday.
"This morning our beloved Cecile passed away at home, surrounded by her family and her ever-loyal dog, Ollie. Our hearts are broken today but no words can do justice to the joy she brought to our lives," her family shared in a statement. "We are grateful to the doctors and health care workers who provided her excellent care and the friends, family, and well-wishers who have been by her side during this challenging time."
Richards is survived by her husband Kirk Adams and her three children, having aborted her fourth.
She served as the president of Planned Parenthood in 2015 when the Center for Medical Progress released undercover tapes exposing the sale of fetal body parts.
Richards can also be credited with overseeing the organization in a period of time in which abortions drastically increased, while breast exams decreased, as The Christian Post notes.
"When Richards came into office, the abortion titan carried out 264,943 abortions per year and performed 844,201 breast exams," Mary Szoch of the Family Research Council wrote last year.
"When she left in 2018, Planned Parenthood performed just 296,310 breast exams each year — a 65% decrease from when she began. Even more tragically, that year, Planned Parenthood killed 332,757 unborn babies through abortion. Richards increased the number of abortions Planned Parenthood carried out each year by almost 70,000."
Richards was succeeded at the organization by Leana Wen, who was ultimately ousted in part for trying to shift Planned Parenthood’s focus to women’s healthcare and away from abortion activism.
Last year, President Joe Biden awarded Richards with the Medal of Freedom for her “inspiring legacy.”
“With absolute courage, [Richards] fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are — a nation of freedom,” Biden said at the time. “Through her work to lift up the dignity of workers, defend and advance women’s reproductive rights and equality, and mobilize Americans to exercise their power to vote, she has carved an inspiring legacy,” he added.
It is crippling to consider the deception and destruction of human life that Richards has been responsible for. We can only hope and pray that she was able to repent in her final days, because her sins are great and grievous.
One day we all will meet Our Loving Creator...let's us repent now. Only repentant sinners go to their eternal rest.
That is a difficult story to read. There is a lot of hiding of the truth in our society and people are rewarded for achieving things that are terrible. I hope and pray for a fundamental change in how we encourage people, her predecessor showed the true intentions behind planned parenthood by being fired.
